I am a self-taught, hard working front end web developer, Drupal themer & designer with a particular strength in CSS.
I decided after over seven years of working on my own doing contract and freelance work that I might like to expand my horizons.
Most of my contract work was Drupal 7 theming
I spent a six month detour on a large ember + node.js project, learning new skills as I went and falling behind on Drupal.
I jumped into the great unknown of freelancing and contracting full time.
After piddling around in Drupal, I got my very first paid side job doing theming on a small scale Drupal website.
Jumped in and taught myself the basics of theming and sitebuilding in Drupal 6.
Started working for an agency that specialized in tourism websites using a proprietary CMS.
Back to what I love, working with a great group on people on all types of websites, large and very small.
Took a short break from working in a web design firm. Mainly built sites for myself during this time. Took a job as an electrician's apprentice for a major change of pace.
Started working for my first web design agency building sites for clients.
Started doing freelancing website work in the early days.
Began my first full time website design and development job, focused mainly on flash and small commerce websites.
First paying gig doing graphic design, with a website build thrown into the mix.
Attended the School of Communication Arts for Computer Animation. Decided to teach myself to build websites instead.
Made my first appearance as a Christmas gift
Agencies only like people who have great skills!
